Cathode ray tubes (CRT) are found in display equipment such as TVs and computer monitors. They contain hazardous phosphor powder, leaded glass, copper and other rare metals. Because of this, they have to be carefully and compliantly disassembled, processed and recovered. Once they are, these materials can be reused to make new products. We’ve been collecting and recycling CRT WEEE in Ireland since 2005. We take it from businesses and households across the country and transport it back to our 22,000m2 state-of-the-art facility in Dublin for compliant decontamination, shredding and separation.
